Boxes of chocolate candy, chocolate truffles, chocolate flowers and figures – these are traditional gifts for the Valentine’s Day. Apparently, all this is associated with sweetness of a kiss and a heat love. And what could be sweeter and hotter than chocolate?
Preparation of this gorgeous dessert will take just about 10 minutes. Serve the hot chocolate in tiny coffee cups: it is very rich and sweet, and just a few small sips will satisfy you sweet tooth and make you happier. Enjoy but be careful, don’t get burned! It is love!
Parisian Hot Chocolate
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 4 ½ oz good quality chocolate (I use Lindt)
- ¼ cup sugar (or slightly more for bitter chocolate)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Pour the milk, cream, and sugar into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and dissolve the sugar.
Break the chocolate into small pieces and add to the milk mixture. Add vanilla extract, stir well until smooth and completely dissolve the chocolate.
Pour into small coffee cups.
The number of servings depends on the cups size.
Cook with pleasure!
